SLG Local Lawyers in Schools launching in September
24 July 2010
SLG and the Citizenship Foundation have joined forces to provide a volunteering opportunity for local government lawyers by providing workshops on legal topics to 15 year secondary school pupils in deprived area as part of the Citizenship Curriculum. 3 year pump priming funding is being provided by the Trust for 3 SLG sites – colleagues from a number of local authorities in an area coming together to share the experience.
The first two sites – Leicestershire and North Yorkshire – are going live in September. The 3rd site is still up for grabs. Full training and support will be provided. See the attachment for full details.
