Lawyer - Procurement and Contracts (1 yr Fixed Term Contract)
01 August 2012
£33,510 - £41,610
This post has a fixed term contract for one year
The Barking & Dagenham Legal Practice is an innovative practice with a vision to provide an excellent legal service which is client-focused and provides real value for money.
The Practice is going through a period of change and we are reorganising our service to meet the changing demands of our clients and to reflect our joint working arrangements with Thurrock Council Legal Services under the direction of a joint Head of Legal Services.
A vacancy has arisen within the Practice for the above-mentioned position to support the work of the Commercial team within the Practice.
We are seeking a suitably qualified solicitor or barrister with wide ranging experience in the area of procurement and contracts law, gained preferably, but not necessarily, in the public sector. As a member of the team you must be self motivated and have the ability to work well on your own without much supervision. You must have experience of providing oral and written legal advice at the required level and have experience of managing a busy caseload. You will also have extensive experience of drafting legal documentation.
The post will give you the opportunity to develop your influence far further than it would in a traditional legal team and as such you will have a developed understanding of client care and the ability to build positive working relationships with others.
If you share our vision and have the skills to help us reach our potential, we’ll reward you with the chance to fulfil yours. Please call Eldred Taylor-Camara, Legal Group Manager on 020 8227 3344 for an informal discussion
