How to advertise jobs

The job vacancies section of the website is a free service SLG offers to its members, whether you are looking for a job yourself or seeking to recruit a new member of your team.

Please note SLG reserves the right not to accept any advert or remove any advert for whatsoever reason. No responsibility is accepted for any errors or omissions in adverts as they appear on the website

Terms & Conditions

  • We only accept adverts for posts within local government
  • Posts must be for legal staff or be such as are likely to be of interest to local authority solicitors
  • We do not accept adverts from recruitment agencies (but the authority themselves may advertise the post here directly)
  • There is no fee for placing an advert
  • SLG reserves the right not to accept any advert or remove any advert for whatsoever reason. No responsibility is accepted for any errors or omissions in adverts as they appear on the website and by submitting a job vacancy request the advertiser agrees to indemnify SLG against all liability arising out of or in connection with the advert.
  • To place an advert the following information must be supplied on the Vacancy Request Form:
  • Job Title
  • Name of Authority
  • Contact e-mail address
  • Reference number
  • Salary
  • Closing date
  • Description of job - this is an unlimited text field but web looks much better if not too long - please do not add application form here, but rather a link to the appropriate page of the LA’s website.
  • Logo of LA - needs to be jpeg
