Licensing SIG relaunch delayed

The relaunch of this important SIG has been delayed as the intended Convenor has changed jobs and is unable to take up the challenge. A new volunteer is therefore needed to step forward to convene the SIG and set up a relaunch meeting. After that the SIG can decide itself what it wishes to do in the ever changing regulatory landscape. Licensing, Gambling and the possibility of major reform to the Taxi and Private Hire legislation not to mention Sex Shops and Zoos.
Our colleagues in the Northern Branch of SLG are also wanting to establish a Licensing SIG and this raises the possibility of a joint SIG with co convenors in each Branch to share the organisational load.
